Langara College, known as snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓—“house of teachings”—is a leading public undergraduate institution located in Vancouver, British Columbia, on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam people. Serving nearly 20,000 learners annually across more than 130 programs and 60 fields of study, the College is widely recognized as one of British Columbia’s most successful university transfer institutions. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic serves as the College’s senior academic leader, providing strategic and operational oversight of the academic and student services portfolio. The role encompasses responsibility for academic planning, program development and renewal, applied research, and the integration of educational technologies, while also overseeing key student services including enrolment, accessibility, counselling, athletics, and student engagement. As a central member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Provost works collaboratively across the institution to advance Langara’s academic mandate. The ideal candidate will bring significant senior leadership experience within complex post-secondary environments, coupled with a deep understanding of academic governance, program quality assurance, unionized environments, and student success strategies.
