About The Position

The Assistant to the Vice Provost provides essential coordination and administrative support for a range of Academic Affairs priorities. This role works closely with senior leadership and collaborates across the University to help ensure that projects, communications, and daily operations move forward smoothly and effectively. The role requires sound judgment, professionalism in handling sensitive information, and a collaborative approach to working with a wide range of partners across the university.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, AND: 36 months project management and supervisory experience over staff or programs.
  • Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months relevant experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, in addition to the 36 months of relevant experience, for a total of 84 months related experience.
  • Experience in drafting, updating, and interpreting policy.
  • Advanced computer skills with broad knowledge of business software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • General math or finance skills.
  • Familiarity with campus and University hiring processing.
  • Experience implementing and managing large, ongoing projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Highly Organized.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the planning and execution of Academic Affairs projects and operational workflows, helping to move initiatives forward in alignment with office priorities
  • Develop and manage timelines, track progress, and facilitate communication across stakeholders to ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and effectively executed
  • Manage a variety of administrative functions, including scheduling meetings, preparing and drafting documents, coordinating events and workshops, and maintaining organized records and materials
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned initiatives, frequently working with administrative partners across colleges and departments
  • Prepare and maintain statistical and operational materials, including documents for institutional and state-level processes.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of staff, as needed.
