About The Position

The Amynta Group is seeking a Vice President - Secondaries to review and underwrite Secondary R&W opportunities and grow as an underwriter for other R&W opportunities. This role involves engaging in marketing to expand Ambridge's secondary R&W opportunities, conducting thorough underwriting due diligence, and negotiating and drafting insurance policies. The position also includes managing, training, and mentoring junior R&W underwriters, reviewing claims, and collaborating with international colleagues for cross-border underwriting.

Requirements

• Review and underwrite Secondary R&W opportunities.
• Underwrite other R&W opportunities.
• Engage in marketing to grow Ambridge's secondary R&W opportunities.
• Conduct underwriting due diligence.
• Analyze risk to be insured.
• Review asset and merger agreements, disclosure schedules, data room materials and financial and operational records of prospective insureds.
• Lead conference calls with the proposed insured and their advisors to discuss the risk to be insured.
• Prepare conference call agendas.
• Negotiate and draft insurance policies with insurance brokers, the proposed insureds and their advisors.
• Ensure underwriting file completion upon binding of R&W opportunities.
• Manage, train and mentor junior R&W underwriter.
• Review secondary R&W submissions.
• Provide mentoring to junior associates to determine whether an insurance proposal can be offered for transactional insurance products including recommendation on pricing and key terms of coverage and exclusions.
• Review claims and provide any necessary support related thereto to the claims team.
• Collaborate with colleagues from Ambridge Europe/Ambridge Canada to assist in cross-border underwriting.
