About The Position

The Vice President, Business Unit Leader for Rare Endo and Rare Tumors will lead the business unit and will be accountable for achieving revenue and patient acquisition goals. The Business unit leader will accomplish goals and objectives by leading in-country sales, marketing, and Thought-Leader Liaisons (TLLs). The incumbent is responsible for directing all aspects of commercial activities, building and developing effective teams and ensuring cross-functional alignment with key partners, including Medical Affairs/HEOR, Strategic Accounts, Market Access, Patient Services and Business Operations, amongst others. This position is also responsible for developing in-country situational assessments, strategic plans, and tactical plans to maximize local business opportunities and overcome barriers for relevant indications. Accountable for developing data and AI plans that enhance the capabilities of individuals and ways of working across the team. Additionally, accountable for participating in the strategic planning process in collaboration with US Leadership Team and Global Therapeutic Area Commercial Strategy Leaders.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or scientific field
  • Fluent in English, written and oral
  • Minimum of 15 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the biopharma industry
  • Prior experience leading multiple teams in cross-functional environments
  • Experience managing budgets

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for $1B+ P&L of Business Unit, including 3+ marketed products today
  • Accountable for new indication/product launch success in the U.S.: building commercial strategy, develop right organizational structure and capabilities to ensure uptake and to drive revenue goals
  • Accountable for launch preparation of late-stage pipeline assets
  • Accountable for commercial goals including patient identification, demand generation, access and supporting appropriate utilization resulting in attainment of revenue goals.
  • Drive development of overall commercial strategy and ensure effective execution at every level in the commercial organization
  • Collaborate with Global Commercial Strategy Therapeutic Heads, and other key cross-functional partners (e.g., Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, HEOR, etc.) to achieve revenue and commercial goals
  • Ensure strong understanding of all aspects of business through strong analytical assessment / business intelligence including primary and secondary data, targets / segmentation, and overall key performance indicators
  • Develop and implement in-country strategic and tactical business plan
  • Ensure strategic alignment and resource allocation across indication and within the business unit
  • Lead Sales Force, TLL and Marketing teams
  • Build and manage effective teams (recruit, train, develop, etc.)
  • Responsible for managing department budget
