About The Position

McLarens is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Vice President of Technology Services to lead our global infrastructure, user support, and enterprise technology operations functions. This role will be responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and customer-focused technology services while modernizing the end-user experience and enabling future business growth. The VP will lead global teams across infrastructure operations, service desk, deskside support, IT asset management, and IT procurement, while driving strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence, automation, modernization, AI-enabled services, and overall business performance improvement. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong operational leadership and hands-on execution discipline. This individual should bring experience building high-performing global support organizations, improving IT service maturity, implementing modern service management practices and tools, and delivering measurable improvements in user experience, operational efficiency, and technology performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including global infrastructure and technology services leadership.
  • Proven track record driving operational transformation, modernization, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Experience implementing ITSM processes, governance frameworks, and modern support tools.
  • Strong operational leadership, stakeholder management, and execution discipline.
  • Experience leading global teams and managing complex vendor ecosystems.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving, and globally distributed environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud operational environments.
  • Exposure to automation, AI-enabled IT operations, cybersecurity, and digital workplace technologies.
  • Experience in professional services, insurance, or global services organizations preferred.
  • ITIL certification strongly preferred.
  • PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global technology services functions including: Infrastructure Operations, Service Desk & Deskside Support, End User Computing, IT Asset Management, IT Procurement & Vendor Coordination.
  • Ensure stable, secure, scalable, and high-performing technology operations across all regions.
  • Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, operational dashboards, and service performance metrics.
  • Drive operational excellence, process standardization, and continuous service improvement.
  • Improve end-user experience through modern support models, automation, and proactive service management.
  • Define and execute the global technology services strategy aligned with McLarens’ business and technology priorities.
  • Lead initiatives focused on infrastructure modernization, cloud enablement, operational automation, AI-driven support capabilities, and digital workplace improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize IT and business performance through innovative technologies and improved operational processes.
  • Partner closely with IT and Business leadership on strategic priorities and service improvements.
  • Lead and develop globally distributed technology services and support teams.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, customer focus, and execution excellence.
  • Coach leaders and strengthen organizational capability, succession planning, and operational maturity.
  • Ensure teams are aligned to business priorities and evolving organizational needs.
  • Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners.
  • Oversee operational budgets, asset lifecycle management, procurement processes, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate and improve service management tools, operational processes, and support delivery models.
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, operational resilience, and risk management practices across technology services.
