About The Position

Calamos Advisors LLC has an opening for Vice President of Strategy and Deals Director in Chicago, Illinois. This role works directly with senior executives to support the evaluation and execution of organic and inorganic, investment, special project and transaction opportunities. The position involves supporting executive decision-making by providing recommendations, researching, analyzing, modeling, and reporting on the macro and micro aspects of opportunities and the markets they operate in. It also includes performing internal value creation assessments, utilizing market benchmarks and data analytics, and engaging with and managing relationships with Calamos’ investment partners, including those in Greece. 5% Domestic and International travel is required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
3 years experience in a Strategy or Deals role within the Alternative Asset Management sector.
Work experience in preparing C-suite reports, analysis and recommendations for the C-suite, including direct engagement with the CEO.
Work experience researching, analyzing, modelling and reporting on the macro and micro aspects of M&A targets with the US and international asset management industry, together with sector adjacencies including insurance linked securities and commodities.
Work experience conducting corporate value creation assessments, including internal and external quantitative and qualitative assessment of revenue drivers, capital and liquidity, expense base composition, and market impact events.
Work experience using data science tools, including Power BI, to drive analytics and conclusions.
Work experience engaging and managing third party consultants, including professional services firms, investment banks or legal advisers, in the US and internationally including Greece.
Work experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence tools, including Claude, to drive process efficiencies/analytical effectiveness.
Work experience in Greek markets/transactions.
Work experience in Social Media, in particular close monitoring of the Bitcoin/Crypto space and alternative asset management , and use of X, LinkedIn and Instagram for disseminating market and company perspectives.
Work experience managing and coaching direct and indirect reports in the exercise of their duties.
Work experience conducting advanced financial modelling.
Work experience analyzing the digital asset marketplace and opportunities, including economic analysis and due diligence.

Responsibilities
