About The Position

The Vice President of Solutions Architecture is a senior executive responsible for leading TekSynap’s solutions architecture function in direct support of the company’s federal business development and proposal operations. This individual oversees a team of solution architects who design technically credible, competitively differentiated solutions for proposals across the Department of Defense, Civilian agencies, and the Intelligence Community. This role demands a rare combination of technical depth and people leadership — someone capable of translating complex concepts from the CTO organization and program delivery teams into compelling, customer-aligned proposal content, while simultaneously managing a high-performing team through the demands of a competitive capture and proposal environment. The ideal candidate is creative and intellectually curious, with the interpersonal skills and management discipline needed to motivate a team through high-pressure proposal cycles without sacrificing quality or morale. TekSynap is a fast growing high-tech company that understands both the pace of technology today and the need to have a comprehensive well planned information management environment. “Technology moving at the speed of thought” embodies these principles – the need to nimbly utilize the best that information technology offers to meet the business needs of our Federal Government customers. • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing technical teams in a deadline-driven, proposal-intensive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills — capable of motivating a team through high-pressure proposal cycles while maintaining quality standards and individual accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders and federal customers.

  • Experience leading or participating in color team reviews (Pink, Red, Gold) and managing technical volume development end-to-end.
  • Established relationships and credibility within the federal IT contracting and GovCon solutions community

Responsibilities

  • Lead the solutions architecture function, owning the quality, consistency, and strategic alignment of all technical solutions developed in support of proposal efforts.
  • Translate emerging technologies, delivery methodologies, and customer mission requirements into differentiated solution concepts that strengthen TekSynap’s competitive position.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between the CTO organization, contract delivery teams, and the growth/BD function — synthesizing TekSynap’s technical capabilities into clear, compelling, and compliant proposal content.
  • Ensure all solutions are technically sound, cost-realistic, and directly aligned with customer mission objectives and acquisition strategies.
  • Stay current on relevant technology trends across AI/ML, cloud, cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise IT, and their practical application in the federal market.
  • Partner closely with capture managers, proposal managers, and BD leads to develop winning technical solutions for competitive federal procurements across full-and-open environments.
  • Define and lead the solution architecture process across the proposal lifecycle — from early opportunity shaping through color team reviews and final submission.
  • Oversee the development of technical volumes, architecture diagrams, solution narratives, staffing approaches, and related proposal artifacts.
  • Drive consistency and quality across all technical proposal content, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and alignment with established win themes.
  • Manage competing deadlines and solution priorities across a concurrent pipeline of active pursuits.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of solution architects — setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, and building a high-performance, high-resilience team culture.
  • Recruit and retain top-tier technical talent with federal market and proposal development experience.
  • Create a team environment that balances creative problem-solving and technical innovation with the structure, accountability, and discipline required in a proposal-intensive operation.
  • Build and maintain processes, tools, and reusable content libraries that improve team efficiency, consistency, and solution quality over time.
  • Sustain team morale and foster resilience through the inherent time pressure and competitive intensity of the proposal environment.
  • Operate as a key member of the growth leadership team, contributing to pipeline strategy, bid/no-bid decisions, and resource planning across the pursuit portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO organization to understand TekSynap’s evolving technical capabilities and ensure they are accurately and compellingly represented in proposals.
