About The Position

As the Vice President of Sales at Sharon Tube Pipe, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will lead the commercial strategy that drives revenue growth, market expansion, customer satisfaction, and long-term profitability. Reporting directly to the President of the Sharon Tube Pipe division, this executive leadership role oversees all sales operations, business development, account management, product management, and strategic partnerships while ensuring alignment with the division's business objectives. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Experience, Quality, Finance, and Planning teams to develop market strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and position Sharon Tube for continued growth. This is a fully remote position with expected travel to the Sharon Tube headquarters in Sharon, PA, as well as customer locations throughout the United States and Canada. This role is ideal for a strategic, customer-focused leader who excels at developing high-performing teams, identifying market opportunities, and driving commercial excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience supporting OEMs and distributors within the construction, mining, agriculture, general industrial, or related markets.
  • Steel industry experience preferred.
  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets while driving profitable business growth.
  • Experience leading large, multi-region commercial organizations and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, market analysis, pipeline management, and commercial strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate data into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and align solutions with Sharon Tube's product portfolio.
  • Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Commercial organization through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Develop and execute the Sharon Tube Business Unit commercial strategy to achieve long-term business growth and profitability.
  • Build, maintain, and expand a robust weighted opportunity pipeline that supports sustained revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic account penetration plans to increase market share and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Create and manage the Business Unit product management strategy in partnership with Operations and Supply Chain, including pricing strategies, inventory optimization, and profitability by product family.
  • Manage customer incentive and rebate programs to strengthen customer retention, increase volume, and support long-term business partnerships.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts by part number to support Master Planning, Production Planning, and Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes.
  • Communicate commercial performance, market conditions, and business updates to hourly and salaried employees across the Sharon Tube organization.
  • Identify emerging markets, customer segments, and industry trends to expand business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, OEMs, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Experience, Planning, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to improve customer experience and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Quality teams to support product performance, customer satisfaction, and project execution.
  • Promote the adoption of technologies and tools that improve commercial processes, forecasting, reporting, and customer engagement.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
