About The Position

This is an invitation to a transformative career chapter. Bally's Chicago is developing a $1.7 billion integrated resort along the Chicago River, featuring 500 hotel rooms, 50,000 square feet of convention space, a 3,000-seat entertainment venue, and a unique meetings and conventions campus. The company is seeking a VP of Convention Sales to establish the group business foundation for this significant hospitality opening. This role involves creating the vision, strategy, pipeline, and team from the ground up, before the resort opens.

Requirements

  • Experience selling on vision before a product existed
  • Experience assembling high-performing teams
  • Experience managing a pre-opening environment with grace and grit
  • Ability to create a roadmap rather than follow one

Responsibilities

  • Operations and Compliance
  • Full pre-opening sales strategy for group and convention business
  • Team development, account targeting, and pipeline creation from day one
  • Revenue strategy and booking pace across corporate, association, medical, and citywide markets
  • Strategic partnerships with Choose Chicago, DMCs, MPI, PCMA, and key industry intermediaries
