About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead our North American commercial organization across our bedding and upholstery divisions. This executive-level leader will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and support the company's long-term business objectives. The Vice President of Sales will lead our Sales, Customer Service, and Creative Design teams, serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. This role will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Product Development, and other functions to translate customer needs into profitable business opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive sales and commercial leadership experience.
Ability to travel domestic and internationally 75% of the time.
Experience leading and developing high-performing sales organizations.
Proven success developing new business and growing existing customer relationships.
Strong understanding of sales strategy, pricing, forecasting, customer management, and profitability.
Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Development, and other functions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in textile manufacturing, home furnishings, bedding, upholstery, furniture, or a related industry.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of production capacity, product development, and supply chain considerations.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
Establish revenue, margin, growth, and customer development goals and hold the commercial organization accountable for results.
Lead, coach, and develop the North American Sales, Customer Service, and Creative Design teams.
Develop new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing customers and strategic accounts.
Identify opportunities to increase market share, expand into new markets and channels, and grow share of wallet.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and serve as a senior point of contact for strategic accounts.
Lead major customer negotiations involving pricing, contracts, volume commitments, and commercial terms.
Establish effective sales forecasting, pipeline management, reporting, and performance metrics.
Partner with Finance and Operations to develop pricing strategies and align sales opportunities with manufacturing capacity and profitability objectives.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities to inform sales and product strategies.
Ensure Customer Service delivers a high level of responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
Align Creative Design resources with customer needs, market trends, product development, and overall sales strategy.
Improve communication and collaboration between Sales, Customer Service, Design, Operations, and other cross-functional teams.
Drive continuous improvement in CRM utilization, sales processes, forecasting, reporting, and customer communication.
Represent the company with key customers, vendors, industry organizations, and other external stakeholders.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, customer events, and other industry functions.
Serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to overall business strategy.
