About The Position

As VP, Sales – Pharma, you will own Hippocratic AI's commercial relationships with the world's largest pharmaceutical accounts. You will lead strategic enterprise sales cycles from prospect to close with the top 20 pharma companies, driving the company toward its growth goal for 2027. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise sales excellence and cutting-edge healthcare AI, requiring a leader who can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations while closing strategic deals at scale. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and partner closely with Product, Clinical, and GTM teams to land and expand AI-driven patient engagement solutions across the pharma vertical. This is a field-first, hunter role — comfortable owning accounts from cold outreach through close. Travel expectations; 20-40% within the U.S.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required and advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including 5+ years in pharma, life sciences, or healthcare technology.
  • Demonstrated track record closing large ($1M+) enterprise deals with pharmaceutical companies.
  • Experience selling consulting, SaaS, or AI/ML solutions that require creative thinking and solution structuring.
  • VP-level enterprise seller with a quota-carrying history at ~$3M+ ARR per year.
  • Strong communication skills — ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Commitment to safety, ethics, and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and mission alignment.

  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at top pharma accounts.
  • Experience with AI, digital health, or data-driven patient engagement platforms.
  • Startup, scale-up, or regulated-industry experience, particularly in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical skills; IB or management consulting background a strong plus for ROI modeling and previewing value.

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed the Pharma segment revenue target.
  • Lead strategic enterprise sales cycles across 20 target pharma accounts (e.g., Eli Lilly and other top-20 global pharma), owning the full deal lifecycle from prospecting to close.
  • Partner with Clinical, Product, and ML teams to tailor the platform to pharma use cases such as patient adherence, clinical trial recruitment, and post-market support.
  • Develop ROI frameworks and business cases for pharma buyers, leveraging an IB/consulting approach to demonstrate measurable patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Drive forecast accuracy, pipeline hygiene, and revenue predictability through disciplined CRM and data-driven sales management.
  • Represent Hippocratic AI at key pharma conferences and executive briefings to build brand credibility and pipeline.
