Vice President Sales & Partnerships Insights

ASM Global•Legends, SC
•$225,000 - $245,000•Remote

About The Position

The Vice President of Sales & Partnerships Insights will lead the insights and analytics function supporting Legends Global Sales and Global Partnerships, the teams responsible for sponsorship, premium, and ticket sales revenue across our client portfolio. This is a senior, highly visible role. You will be the analytics counterpart to our sales and partnership executives, to the venue leaders they serve, and to the clients whose revenue outcomes we are accountable for. The role mirrors the model our Operational Insights leader has built on the Hospitality, Merchandise, and Venues side of the business. Where that function embedded analytics inside operations, you will do the same for the commercial side, standing up a consistent, scalable insights practice across a set of sales organizations that today operate with uneven data maturity. You will build the team, set the standards, and personally carry the most consequential executive conversations. This leader will partner closely with our Central Insights function, which owns CRM, data science, AI, guest research, and other enterprise data capabilities, to ensure Consulting Insights draws on shared infrastructure and models rather than building in isolation. You will also work alongside our feasibility and consulting practice, which owns partnership valuation and market study work. The strength of this role is in the connective tissue: translating enterprise capability into commercial outcomes at the venue and client level.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in analytics, insights, business intelligence, or quantitative consulting, including meaningful time interacting with senior organizational leadership
  • Demonstrated experience leading and scaling an analytics team, including managing director- or manager-level talent
  • Track record of building analytics that support revenue functions such as sponsorship, ticketing, premium, or media, and evidence that the work was adopted and changed decisions
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business analytics, statistics, economics, or a related field
  • Executive Communication - The ability to take a complex analysis and land it in three minutes with a leader who has no interest in the methodology
  • Fluency in commercial analytics: pricing, forecasting, pipeline and funnel measurement, segmentation, and performance measurement
  • Hands-on analytical capability. SQL, Excel, Python, R, and Tableau experience is useful, though we care less about any specific tool than about the judgment to know what question to ask and whether an answer holds up
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tooling such as Claude Code, and a point of view on how it changes what a small analytics team can deliver
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce) as both a data source and an adoption channel for analytics
  • Consultative stakeholder management. Able to develop, own, and expand relationships across internal leadership, venues, and clients

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sports, entertainment, live events, or venues is strongly preferred
  • Experience building an analytics function where one did not previously exist, or standardizing analytics across a decentralized portfolio, is a strong differentiator
  • A builder's instinct. Comfort standing up a function, setting standards, and creating structure where none exists.
  • Commercial judgment over analytical purity, and the willingness to give a leader a directionally right answer today rather than a perfect one next month.
  • Credibility with sellers. This role does not work if the sales organization does not want you in the room.
  • A collaborative posture toward Central Insights, Operational Insights, our feasibility and consulting practice, and peer insights leaders. Leverage the enterprise, do not rebuild it.
  • Curiosity about how data drives revenue, partner value, and fan engagement in live sports and entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary insights partner to Global Sales and Global Partnerships executive leadership, translating commercial questions into analytical work and analytical work into decisions leaders will act on.
  • Build and own trusted relationships with venue leaders and property-level sales leadership, ensuring insights are adopted on the ground and not simply delivered from the center.
  • Represent the insights function in client-facing settings including pitches, renewals, annual business reviews, and property leadership meetings, with the credibility to be in the room when revenue decisions are made.
  • Set the agenda on what the business should be measuring rather than fulfilling requests as they arrive.
  • Own the reporting and measurement layer for partnership sales performance: pipeline, pacing, close rates, category coverage, and revenue against plan across the portfolio.
  • Build sponsor fulfillment and delivery analytics that show what a partner actually received, giving our sellers evidence to bring into renewal conversations.
  • Develop renewal risk, whitespace, and prospecting analytics that shape where partnership teams spend their time.
  • Standardize how partnership performance is defined and reported across properties so results are comparable, credible, and repeatable.
  • Partner with our feasibility and consulting practice on valuation and market study work, supplying the operating data and performance evidence their analysis depends on rather than duplicating it.
  • Lead analytics supporting season, group, premium, and single-event ticket sales, including pricing strategy, demand and pacing forecasts, and inventory and yield management.
  • Partner with Central Insights to deploy lead scoring, propensity, churn, and retention models into the hands of sales teams through CRM, and drive adoption once they are there.
  • Build pipeline, productivity, and rep performance reporting that sales leaders use to manage their business week to week.
  • Support premium and new-build sales efforts with pricing, positioning, and take-rate analysis.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of directors, managers, and embedded analysts supporting sales and partnership organizations across the portfolio.
  • Establish the operating model for the function: intake, prioritization, delivery standards, and the reporting layer every property can rely on.
  • Partner with Central Insights and enterprise data teams on data architecture, CRM data quality, model deployment, and AI-enabled tooling, ensuring the commercial side of the business has a clear and well-represented voice in enterprise roadmaps.
  • Bring thought leadership on emerging analytics, AI, and commercial measurement practices, and drive their adoption across the sales organization.
