About The Position

The Global Compliance division at Goldman Sachs prevents, detects, and mitigates compliance, regulatory, and reputational risk across the firm. It operates as an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, managing an enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. This involves assessing risk, monitoring regulatory changes, designing and implementing controls, policies, procedures, and training, conducting independent testing, investigating breaches, and managing regulatory examinations. The Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team within Global Compliance specifically coordinates the firm's enterprise-wide anti-money laundering (BSA/AML), sanctions, anti-bribery compliance, and forensics surveillance efforts. The FCC team administers surveillances, due diligence, and control processes to identify potential financial crimes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage FCC’s regulatory change management program, including identifying relevant regulatory developments, assessing their impact, and coordinating implementation of required program changes with stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing the design and execution of the FCC global risk assessment program, gathering and analyzing data, preparing materials, and reporting results.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to other groups within FCC, coordinating controls-related activities.
  • Help to manage FCC’s regulatory change management program, including identifying relevant regulatory developments on an ongoing basis, assessing their impact to the Goldman Sachs financial crime program, and working with stakeholders across the organization to design and coordinate implementation of required program changes, including revisions to relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing the design and execution of the FCC global risk assessment program, coordinating with stakeholders across the firm to gather and analyze data, prepare related materials, and report results to firm management and other stakeholders.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to other groups within FCC, coordinating controls-related activities.
