About The Position

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is seeking a Vice President, Regulatory Reporting - Trade Level in Dallas, Texas. This role involves executing key risk and control processes to ensure compliance with non-financial regulatory reporting obligations, particularly Americas’ swap regulations (CFTC Part 45 (P45), CFTC Part 43 (P43), CFTC Part 23 Material Terms Reconciliation (P23 MET Rec), SEC Securities Based Swap (SBS) reporting, and Ontario). The position requires applying extensive subject matter expertise in major Americas swap regulations to detect anomalies in reporting data, delving into complex system infrastructure to understand the impact of data flows and booking models on reporting quality, and leveraging large data sets and samples to reach conclusions. The role also includes identifying solutions to correct system issues, documenting requirements, performing tests prior to new code deployment, and consulting on business and functional projects to facilitate commercial activity in adherence with Americas’ swap regulations. Collaboration across multiple business lines and stakeholder groups in strategic initiatives across global swap reporting regulations and the broader global Regulatory Operations department is essential. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders in the business, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal to support various reporting functions, and training and motivating colleagues to achieve personal and departmental business and risk targets are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Five (5) years of working knowledge of derivative financial products, including at least one of equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, commodity and credit derivatives.
  • Five (5) years of experience using excel to perform analytics of reporting data for the purpose of assessing correct reporting or reporting anomalies.
  • Five (5) years of experience understanding complex workflows and condensing them into a diagrammatic summary for training purposes.
  • Two (2) years of working knowledge of the rules underlying CFTC Part 45 (P45), CFTC Part 43 (P43), CFTC Part 23 Material Terms Reconciliation (P23 MET Rec), SEC Securities Based Swap (SBS) reporting or global equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of working knowledge of swap data repository vendor offerings, including submission requirements and validations (DTCC, or global equivalent such as TRAX).
  • Two (2) years of working knowledge of industry ‘trade eligibility’ vendor offerings (DROIT, or global equivalent).
  • Two (2) years of working knowledge of project management and requirement documentation tooling including industry tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Blueprint or equivalent.
