Reporting to the CCO and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, the Vice-President, Patient Programs is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business direction for Sentrex's Patient Programs division. The Vice-President, Patient Programs will establish and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and operational roadmap for Patient Programs (PPs), ensuring the organization continues to deliver exceptional patient experiences, operational excellence, and value-driven outcomes for clients and healthcare stakeholders. As the executive leader responsible for the Patient Programs business unit, the Vice-President will drive innovation, growth, quality, financial performance, and organizational effectiveness while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and patient-centric care. This role serves as a key strategic partner to pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, payers, and internal stakeholders to ensure Sentrex remains an industry leader in specialty healthcare services and patient support solutions.

Requirements

  • University degree in a healthcare-related discipline, business administration, health sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within healthcare, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical services, healthcare operations, or a related environment.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of senior leadership experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams and complex healthcare operations.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise-level strategic plans and operational roadmaps.
  • Proven success leading organizational growth, operational transformation, and business performance initiatives.
  • Experience managing large operational budgets and financial performance within a healthcare or service-based environment.
  • Experience working directly with pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, payers, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in client relationship management, business growth, and executive stakeholder engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, master’s degree in health sciences, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturer and Patient Support Program (PSP) vendor experience preferred, with a strong understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical landscape, including manufacturer partnerships, market access considerations, reimbursement environments and patient support service models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and operational plans for the Patient Programs division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth objectives.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning as a member of the executive leadership team.
  • Lead the evolution of Patient Programs through innovation, technology, digital transformation, and industry best practices.
  • Identify emerging market trends, healthcare developments, and growth opportunities that support business expansion and competitive differentiation.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Business Development, Commercial, and Client Services teams to support new business opportunities, client retention, and revenue growth.
  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction to ensure continued scalability and sustainability of Patient Programs operations.
  • Evaluate and implement business strategies that enhance organizational performance, profitability, service delivery, and patient outcomes.
  • Provide executive oversight of all Patient Programs operations, ensuring programs consistently meet or exceed client expectations, service standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level agreements, quality metrics, and patient experience measures.
  • Lead strategic operational planning to optimize workflows, resource utilization, service delivery, and organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure successful implementation, transition, and ongoing management of patient programs and operational initiatives.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through process optimization, innovation, quality enhancement, and operational excellence.
  • Utilize data analytics, operational insights, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making and performance management.
  • Anticipate, identify, and address operational risks and opportunities that may impact business performance.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for key client relationships, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction, retention, and strategic partnership development.
  • Collaborate with pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, healthcare professionals, payer organizations, and other external stakeholders to support program success.
  • Provide strategic operational input into client contracts, service agreements, program designs, and business proposals.
  • Represent Sentrex at industry conferences, client meetings, and external forums, positioning the organization as a trusted healthcare partner and industry leader.
  • Maintain and expand a professional network of healthcare experts, industry leaders, consultants, and strategic partners.
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the Patient Services division, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance against strategic objectives and established budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and return on investment.
  • Oversee budget development, expense management, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources while supporting growth and innovation initiatives.
  • Leverage financial and operational metrics to support informed executive decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team focused on operational excellence, patient outcomes, and client success.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Champion workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, and talent management initiatives.

  • Provide executive oversight for quality management, patient safety, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.
  • Establish governance frameworks that promote accountability, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor healthcare policy, reimbursement, and market changes that may impact patient programs and service delivery.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen organizational quality standards and enhance patient and client outcomes.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner consistent with Sentrex's mission, vision, values, and brand.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and initiatives as assigned by the CCO.
