The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is a leading national health organization in Canada, instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare, uniting physicians, advocating for system transformation, and championing public interest. As part of its Impact 2040 strategy, CMA is enhancing its enterprise partnerships, strategic relationships, and giving capabilities to boost its impact for physicians, patients, and communities. The Vice-President, Partnerships, reports to the Executive Vice-President, Strategy & Partnerships, and President, CMA Foundation. This senior leadership role is responsible for providing enterprise-wide leadership for CMA’s strategic partnerships, alliances, and enterprise giving. The incumbent will set direction, governance, and performance for this portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and measurable outcomes. This position involves stewarding external relationships across various ecosystems (medical, health, philanthropic, corporate, multi-sector), building trust, and identifying opportunities for collective action. The Vice-President will offer strategic counsel on partnership opportunities and risks, while upholding CMA’s credibility, reputation, and long-term impact. Additionally, the role provides strategic leadership and oversight for enterprise giving, including partnerships, grants, and sponsorships, ensuring strong governance, fiduciary accountability, and alignment with CMA’s vision and values.
