About The Position

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the company’s national sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen client relationships across staffing and workforce solutions. This role leads scales high performing sales teams, partners closely with operations and recruiting, and ensures alignment between sales strategy and delivery capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the staffing or workforce solutions industry
  • Proven track record of leading high-growth sales organizations with multimillion-dollar revenue targets
  • Strong knowledge of temporary staffing, direct hire, and workforce solutions models
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing enterprise wide sales strategies
  • Strong experience with forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating enterprise-level contracts
  • Expertise in sales operations, CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), and data driven decision making
  • Ability to build, lead, and mentor high performing sales teams across regions or markets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, and key account management
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, results driven environment and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance.
  • Must be willing to undergo a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s overall sales strategy to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability goals
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales leadership team, including regional and national sales managers
  • Establish and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive accountability and results
  • Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue reporting to executive leadership and the Board as applicable
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Operations to align sales strategies with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and strategic accounts
  • Negotiate and close high-value or enterprise-level deals when required
  • Evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform sales initiatives
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, compensation plans, and incentive programs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, technology adoption, and data-driven decision-making
  • Support organizational change initiatives and contribute to executive-level planning and strategy
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Identify new market opportunities, vertical expansions, and service offerings
  • Establish revenue targets, sales forecasts, and KPIs across all sales channels
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and M&A growth initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop regional and national sales leaders
  • Build scalable sales processes for prospecting, pipeline management, and closing
  • Drive new client acquisition while expanding existing client relationships
  • Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and margin optimization
  • Ensure compliance with client contracts, SLAs, and staffing regulations
  • Serve as executive sponsor for key national and strategic accounts
  • Maintain deep understanding of staffing industry trends, labor market conditions, and competitive landscape
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance brand positioning and lead generation
  • Partner with recruiting and operations leaders to ensure fulfillment capability and service quality
  • Align sales commitments with delivery capacity to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Provide market feedback to improve service offerings and operational efficiency
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline health, and forecast accuracy
  • Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership and the board
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness
