About The Position

The Vice-President of Quality and Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities at the Center, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. In conjunction with the President & CEO, responsible for governmental relations, grant operations, certifications relative to the Center, employee training, and quality assurance. Responsible for promoting high standards of practice through development of policies, protocols, and practice guidelines. Responsible for overseeing hiring, supervision, evaluation and scheduling of the direct departments he/she oversees.

Requirements

  • Five years of progressively responsible non-profit management experience and staff supervision, including expertise transforming staff into a highly functional team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Supervisory and leadership skills, mediation abilities, multi-tasking skills required.
  • Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the President & CEO, establishes, implements, and communicates the direction of the organization’s grants department, quality assurance and governmental relations.
  • In conjunction with other administrators, establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies and practices to ensure agency compliance with accreditation, State, and Federal standards.
  • Assist in the implementation of all medical policies and procedures as they pertain to patient care and clinical staff employment.
  • Organize, direct, and integrate practices to assure continued compliance with applicable State and Federal laws governing medical services.
  • In conjunction with other administrators sets forth a plan for grant development and yearly goals for that department.
  • In conjunction with the President direct staff to fiscal responsibility, consistent with the business plan and annual budget.
  • Develop, oversee, and participate in projects that ensure the cost-effectiveness provided by medical providers, center staff, and the center.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Clinical Officer and the QA Director, establish, track, and maintain clinical quality indicators and consistent periodic chart review to assure adequate clinical documentation.
  • Along with the Chief Clinical Officer, develop, plan and implement strategies to manage program growth and ensure self-funding and sustainability of all programs.
  • Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client needs with emphasis on services for underserved populations.
  • Assist in the identification of training or identifying trainings for all programmatic staff
  • Analyze situations and take necessary actions to provide crisis intervention, interpreting and implementing Haymarket policies and procedures regarding crisis intervention as appropriate.
  • Provides direct supervision to the departments he/she oversees.
  • Provide indirect supervision to Managers.
