Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial mechanical construction with significant responsibility for field operations.
  • Executive leadership experience overseeing multi-region operations, multiple business units, and large construction teams.
  • Deep expertise in HVAC/mechanical construction, field operations, fabrication, project delivery, workforce planning, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets, labor productivity, forecasting, KPIs, gross margins, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change, standardizing operations, and driving continuous improvement.
  • A proven track record of coaching and developing high-performing leaders while fostering a collaborative, people-first culture.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive enterprise-wide business results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Regional Operations by establishing consistent standards for field execution, safety, quality, workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational excellence across all regions.
  • Elevate Fabrication & Field Performance by strengthening the connection between fabrication, logistics, project management, and field operations to improve productivity, schedule reliability, and quality.
  • Build High-Performing Teams by developing field leaders, standardizing operating procedures, improving workforce planning, and creating a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Financial & Operational Results by improving labor productivity, forecasting, profitability, KPI management, operational reporting, and data-driven decision making.
  • Partner Across the Business by aligning Field Operations, Project Management, Finance, Safety, Quality, Estimating, Preconstruction, and Executive Leadership to deliver ONE MacDonald-Miller.
