About The Position

Inspired HR is partnering with a leading Canadian healthcare organization to recruit a Vice President, Operations to lead and transform operations across Alberta. This is a newly created executive role driven by significant organizational growth. Following recent acquisitions and continued expansion, the organization has doubled in size and is entering an important integration phase. The Vice President, Operations will play a critical role in bringing newly acquired businesses together, strengthening culture, improving operational performance, and creating a unified regional strategy. This is not an M&A role. This is an operator's role. We're looking for a seasoned executive who can assess complex situations, diagnose challenges quickly, execute with urgency, and hold teams accountable while leading with empathy and emotional intelligence.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-site healthcare operations
  • Proven experience leading operational turnarounds and organizational change
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including P&L accountability
  • Experience leading through ambiguity, integration, and transformation
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to diagnose problems, make decisions quickly, and execute effectively
  • A highly independent and solutions-oriented leadership style

Responsibilities

  • Lead and transform operations across Alberta.
  • Bring newly acquired businesses together, strengthen culture, improve operational performance, and create a unified regional strategy.
  • Oversee a large multi-site healthcare portfolio consisting of 30–50 clinics and more than 100 clinicians and support team members across Alberta.
  • Lead operational performance, financial accountability, culture integration, and change management initiatives while ensuring an exceptional patient and employee experience.
  • Integrate newly acquired businesses into one cohesive operating model.
  • Create consistency across systems, processes, and patient experiences.
  • Build trust and stability during periods of change.
  • Drive operational alignment while preserving strong local relationships.
  • Lead multi-site clinic operations across Alberta.
  • Identify and address operational inefficiencies and performance gaps.
  • Improve accountability, execution, and operational discipline.
  • Establish scalable processes and best practices.
  • Own regional P&L performance and EBITDA targets.
  • Drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics, productivity, and staffing models.
  • Partner with clinic leaders to improve business performance and patient outcomes.
  • Lead through a people-first, values-driven approach.
  • Build engaged, high-performing teams during periods of transition.
  • Coach and develop regional leaders and clinic managers.
  • Reduce turnover and create a culture where employees feel secure, supported, and accountable.
