About The Position

The Vice President of Operations is a pivotal role responsible for crafting and executing the overarching strategy and vision for both construction and operations teams. All activities will be performed in support of the values of Elmington Construction: Integrity, Precision, Growth, Driven, Relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business, Real Estate or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a senior leader in construction or real estate development, with a focus on multifamily residential projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive operational excellence across all areas of business, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and maximizing efficiency and profitability.
  • Meet or exceed established operational goals to fulfill divisional business plans, continuously optimizing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to project teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols, scheduling requirements, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Oversee financial aspects of operations, including budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis, to drive cost effective decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Identify and onboard new vendors and trades to bid on projects, ensuring alignment with quality and cost standards, and maintaining positive relationships with existing partners.
  • Generate regular reports on operational performance, financial projections, and project status updates, and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies, proactively addressing any potential risks or issues.
