About The Position

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for setting and executing the strategic direction of marketing to drive growth, strengthen brand impact, and support sales performance across the organization. This role leads a high‑performing team, partners cross‑functionally, and ensures marketing initiatives are aligned with Stanley Martin’s business objectives, customer expectations, and core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Communications, and/or a related field
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior-level leadership roles
  • 8+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing high‑performing marketing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, creatively, and strategically to drive business results
  • Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that achieve KPIs and support growth objectives
  • Results‑driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data, digital marketing platforms, and marketing technology tools
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with four days per week in the office

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with corporate business objectives, annual goals, and long-term growth plans
  • Translate company mission, vision, and values into actionable marketing priorities across all channels
  • Partner with executive leadership to align marketing strategy with sales forecasts, market expansion, and corporate initiatives
  • Continuously assess market conditions, competitive landscape, and customer trends to refine positioning and strategy
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing corporate marketing organization, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for direct reports and extended marketing teams
  • Provide coaching, professional development, and succession planning to build long-term team capability
  • Create efficiencies in team workflows, resourcing, and execution while maintaining high standards of output
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to support community-level sales performance and traffic goals
  • Oversee neighborhood marketing strategies designed to drive qualified traffic, appointments, and sales conversions
  • Monitor daily and weekly sales trends, adjusting marketing strategies in real-time to maximize performance
  • Ensure alignment between corporate marketing efforts and division-level sales priorities
  • Analyze daily sales data, lead performance, campaign results, and funnel metrics to inform strategy and optimization
  • Leverage reporting tools (e.g., Looker) to provide clear insights, trends, and recommendations to leadership
  • Balance data-driven decision-making with creative problem-solving to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Communicate insights clearly and succinctly to drive alignment and action across teams
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across all marketing initiatives and communications
  • Ensure marketing experiences are consistent, relevant, and aligned with buyer expectations throughout the funnel
  • Use customer insights and feedback to refine messaging, journeys, and engagement strategies
  • Support a seamless handoff between marketing and sales to enhance the overall customer experience
  • Oversee and protect the Stanley Martin brand across all marketing channels, divisions, and customer touchpoints
  • Strengthen brand awareness and relevance through consistent messaging, creative standards, and storytelling
  • Ensure all marketing programs reinforce brand positioning and differentiate Stanley Martin in the marketplace
  • Maintain brand alignment across corporate, field, and partner marketing initiatives
  • Develop and manage the corporate marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
  • Evaluate ROI across marketing investments, reallocating spend based on performance and business priorities
  • Balance strategic initiatives with cost control while supporting lead generation and brand growth objectives
  • Provide financial accountability and transparency in marketing planning and reporting
  • Lead the planning and execution of integrated digital and traditional marketing strategies
  • Oversee paid media, digital platforms, promotions, and offline advertising to maximize lead quality and volume
  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness across all channels, including digital, print, events, and local activations
  • Stay current on emerging marketing technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, speed to market, and scalability
  • Standardize best practices across campaigns, reporting, and operational workflows
  • Leverage marketing technology and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Monday.com, HB1) to improve execution and collaboration
  • Continuously assess and optimize marketing operations to support growth
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, and executive leadership to align initiatives
  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring marketing supports broader company goals
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to build trust, alignment, and shared accountability
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships that enhance organizational effectiveness
