About The Position

Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing, the Credit Union's Information Technology Services Organization including software applications, systems and custom programs, core operations, software development, phone operations, enterprise data management, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, advance analytics and process improvements capabilities, network infrastructure and related vendor relationships. Establishes, implements, and administers IT Department policies and procedures. Acts as senior manager over hardware, software, network infrastructure, data center sites for primary and backup on equipment purchases and maintenance. Plays a key role in assisting the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in developing the credit union’s IT Strategic Plan and aligning with the credit union’s overall strategic plan and business goals. Responsible for developing and implementing new innovations, efficiencies, and technologies. Develops, monitors, and directs disaster recovery planning and mitigation strategies related to information technology resources. Continually monitors technical and processing priorities and methods. Supervises and appraises the activities of subordinate directors, and ensures that all functions are professionally delivered, and internal and external members are well served. Develops and monitors IT department budgets. Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for participating in strategic planning, goals, and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field combined with education, training, and experience related to computer and information systems.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in computer systems and operations, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Four (4) years management and supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications in: CompTIA Certifications, CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
