Flagler HealthNew York, NY

About The Position

Flagler Health is building the clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care. We partner with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to help them grow, operate more efficiently, and deliver better longitudinal care across patient acquisition, clinical workflows, and ongoing patient engagement. Our platform sits at the intersection of care delivery and clinic operations, helping providers capture more value across the full patient lifecycle. We’ve recently raised our Series B and are entering our next phase of growth. We’re hiring our first VP of Finance to own the full finance function, FP&A, accounting, treasury, and strategic finance, and partner with the executive team on our next fundraise, M&A activity, and operating model. This is a player-coach seat with a direct line to the CEO, a place on the leadership team, and a clear path to CFO for the right operator.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience spanning strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or a comparable mix.
  • Strong technical chops across financial modeling, GAAP fundamentals, capital structure, and unit economics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to a board, an investor, or an operating leader.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, health tech, or other regulated industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Built FP&A from scratch.
  • Closed an M&A deal (or been deep in one).
  • Has grit.

Responsibilities

  • Build the forecasting, budgeting, KPIs, and management reporting infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Lead the next fundraise end-to-end, including investor narrative, materials, modeling, diligence, and term sheet negotiation.
  • Drive M&A strategy and execution end-to-end: sourcing, diligence, structuring, negotiation, close, and integration.
  • Partner with leadership on capital allocation, pricing, unit economics, and complex deal structuring with the commercial team.
  • Own the accounting function, monthly close, audit readiness, internal controls, and the financial systems that scale with the business.
  • Manage cash, working capital, debt facilities, and runway.
  • Run the board reporting cadence and serve as the primary finance counterpart to investors and lenders.
  • Hire, develop, and scale the finance organization.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Clinical, and Engineering to translate strategy into financial accountability.

Benefits

  • Foundational impact. You will not be optimizing someone else's system. You will build the finance function from the ground up and shape how this company grows.
  • Direct access to the CEO. This is not a role buried three layers deep. You will have a seat at the table and real influence on company decisions.
  • Mission that matters. Flagler's AI is improving patient outcomes and reducing provider burnout across 36+ states. The work you enable has a downstream impact on real healthcare delivery.
