This role reports to the CFO and provides strategic financial insight, leads the Finance and Accounting functions, and supports strong financial stewardship across the credit union. Requirements

  • 5-10 years of financial leadership experience, including overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance
  • Experience collaborating with CFO on creating and executing strategic financial plans and objectives.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations to the Board of Directors, community leaders, and business leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working for a financial institution is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Champion the cultural values of the organization, sets direction and oversees coaching and performance of departments and makes hiring decisions.
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities, and contributes to asset liability management.
  • Supervise the Accounting Manager, ALM Specialist, BSA Officer and collaborate closely with IT to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with CFO and CEO to identify and manage resources needed to drive the execution of strategic plans.
  • Participate in senior team (STeam), volunteer committees and Board meetings.
  • Actively seek leadership opportunities and cultivate relationships with key constituents, community organizations, vendors and industry partners.
  • Cultivate an active external network to stay on top of best practices and industry trends.
  • Oversight of assigned departments, ensuring achievement of performance goals.
