Native American Bank (NAB), the first national Native-owned community development bank in the country, is seeking a Vice President of Credit to lead and develop its credit department. Founded in 2001, NAB has lent more than $400 million to Native entrepreneurs, tribes, tribal housing authorities, and Alaska Native corporations, with roughly half supporting projects on reservation lands. The bank holds an “Outstanding” CRA rating and aims to reach $1 billion in assets. This role offers an opportunity to apply credit expertise in support of communities that traditional banking has long underserved. The Vice President of Credit oversees commercial underwriting, loan structuring, covenant setting, portfolio monitoring, and credit risk reporting. The role partners with the Chief Credit Officer on credit policy, loan loss allowance, regulatory examinations, and audits, and leads process and systems improvement projects. The position is hybrid in Denver, Colorado, reports to the Chief Credit Officer, and offers compensation of $140,000–$175,000. It is full-time. Sponsorship is unavailable; applicants must be in the United States and legally authorized to work.
