About The Position

As a CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic), Thrive Behavioral Health provides a comprehensive range of high quality mental health and substance use disorder services that are accessible to all members of our community regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. General Summary: The Vice President of Clinical Support will oversee the clinical operations and delivery of services at Thrive Behavioral Health. This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, fostering a positive clinical environment, and leading the clinical team in the development and implementation of best practices. The VP of Clinical Support will work closely with the senior leadership team to align clinical services with organizational goals, policies, and the needs of the community we serve.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.
  • Active clinical license (LCSW, LMHC, PsyD, etc.)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in clinical practice.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in behavioral health, including clinical supervision and program management.
  • Strong understanding of mental health and substance use treatment, evidence-based practices, behavioral healthcare regulations, quality standards, and best practices in clinical care delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop clinical teams in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the clinical support services teams across Thrive, ensuring effective delivery of care and treatment to clients.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols that ensure high-quality, evidence-based practices.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to clinical staff, promoting professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee clinical assessments, treatment planning, and outcomes measurement to ensure consistency, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and other senior leaders to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Coordinate with external partners, such as insurance providers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the alignment of services.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to create individualized treatment plans and ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Continuously assess the clinical services and recommend enhancements to improve care delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed on the latest clinical research, trends, and regulatory changes in behavioral health and mental health services.
  • Develop and implement clinical training programs to enhance the skills of the clinical team and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Ensure that all clinical operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Participate in clinical quality assurance, including audits, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and monitor documentation and reporting to ensure that clinical records meet all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performance culture within the clinical support teams.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and retention of clinical staff, ensuring alignment with Thrive Behavioral Health’s mission and values.
  • Provide regular performance evaluations, feedback, and mentorship to promote professional growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Utilize data to inform clinical decisions and support continuous improvement.
  • Provide reports on clinical performance, trends, and quality assurance activities to the Chief Clinical Officer.
