About The Position

The Vice President of Capital Formation plays a critical leadership role in driving the strategic acquisition and management of capital resources to support the organization's growth and financial objectives. This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive capital formation strategies that attract investment, optimize funding structures, and enhance shareholder value. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership, investors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with corporate goals and compliance standards. The Vice President will lead a team focused on identifying new capital opportunities, negotiating terms, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. Ultimately, this position ensures the organization has the necessary financial foundation to pursue expansion initiatives and maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or related areas.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising capital through various financing instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital structuring.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement capital formation strategies that align with the company’s long-term financial goals.
  • Lead negotiations and structuring of equity, debt, and hybrid financing transactions with investors and financial partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, banks, and other capital providers.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess capital needs and optimize the company’s capital structure.
  • Oversee due diligence processes, financial modeling, and risk assessments related to capital raising activities.
  • Manage and mentor a team responsible for capital markets activities, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform capital formation strategies.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to the board of directors and executive management.
