About The Position

The Canon Alliance Vice President plays a critical role in shaping and advancing HP's strategic partnership with Canon, evolving our business model, improving efficiency, optimizing costs, and ensuring operational excellence. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining communication and negotiation strategy, driving operational excellence across the partnership, building a high-performance team, and contributing to the overall success, growth, and competitiveness of Office Print Solutions (OPS). As the senior leader responsible for one of HP's most important strategic partnerships, the Vice President provides leadership across the Canon alliance, balancing long-term business objectives with operational execution. The Vice President leads a team of business professionals, including managers and senior individual contributors, providing strategic direction, guidance, support, talent development, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or another related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Actively partners with internal stakeholders to define business goals, priorities, and tradeoffs for LaserJet products and operations.
  • Manages the Canon business relationship for LaserJet products, including negotiations, product and initiative agreements, and the business model framework.
  • Oversees the overall Canon relationship at the corporate level, including maintaining a strong, healthy, and equitable partnership for LaserJet.
  • Influences internal business owners on strategy and business requirements to deliver mutually beneficial, "win-win" solutions between HP and Canon.
  • Drives multi-year strategies and initiatives at the regional, global, and business group levels by exercising governance oversight; for example, ensuring the appropriate use and execution of Canon-provided funding and developing a joint approach to policies and regulations, such as tariffs.
  • Enables and supports effective reporting, insights, and executive-level visibility into joint HP/Canon business performance, leveraging organizational processes where possible.
  • Manages the allocation of resources, including personnel, budgets, and investments, to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Takes responsibility for talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools, processes, and organizational capabilities are in place to support the team.
