About The Position

Recommend investments and implement strategy decisions in liquidity portfolios that are managed on behalf of both internal and external clients. Lead detailed analysis on US macroeconomic scenarios, as well as trade evaluation as it relates to US government liquidity portfolios. Build and execute trades for the US government liquidity complex – including trade sizing across various accounts based on constraints and objectives. Prepare materials and lead discussions for internal weekly portfolio strategy meetings with senior team members, including the global head of liquidity solutions. Perform regular competitive analysis, including evaluating positioning vs. peers across interest rate exposure, product types and counterparty concentration. Provide training and guidance to junior team members. Monitor and synthesize industry trends, including supply and issuance statistics. Provide regular updates on portfolio strategy and developments in the liquidity space to large internal groups, including sales and other internal investment teams. Participate in and lead macroeconomic and fund positioning update calls for external clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, History, Economics, Financial Engineering, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Five (5) years with portfolio management, risk management and oversight of liquidity portfolios.
  • Five (5) years with developing investment theses for new investment opportunities and presenting them to senior leadership.
  • Five (5) years with compiling and presenting detailed, regular competitive analysis to senior team members.
  • Five (5) years with analyzing portfolio risk management systems to identify and resolve booking errors and/or system generated issues pertaining to trade booking.
  • Five (5) years with negotiating bilateral transactions and compiling documentation, such as term sheets.
  • Five (5) years with leading investment update calls – both with external clients and internal teams (sales, portfolio management and other internal investment teams).
