About The Position

Mouser Electronics is seeking a Vice President International Human Resources to lead and manage all aspects of human resources for its global operations. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing employee relations, compensation, and benefits, and overseeing safety requirements and employee engagement initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures and levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR generalist functions, management, and international business.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Human Resource compliance.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level.
  • Experience with Human Resource software implementations and execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide data and reports for government compliance, management information, continuous improvement recommendations, and other needs.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with various levels of leadership within the organization.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Possession of a current, valid driver’s license and current proof of insurance.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership presence and maturity.
  • Solid change management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to quickly establish a vision and the tenacity to drive through to completion.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Able and willing to travel internationally.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is typically expected.
  • Internal candidates: Minimum 7 years of management experience including a minimum 3 years as an exceptional performing Mouser director.
  • External candidates: Minimum 8 years management experience, including minimum 4 years as a director or a higher-level management position. Exceptional references required.
  • Must have 15 years of Human Resource generalist experience.
  • International business experience.
  • Must have 10 years of direct management experience as a Manager or Director.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • A Professional Human Resources or Senior Professional Human Resources certificate from the Society for Human Resources Management is desirable. If this certification is not held at the time of hire, it should be obtained within the first three years in the position. Once attained, ongoing continuing education is required to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies and successful onboarding methods for maximum retention.
  • Ensure knowledge and execution of employment laws.
  • Manage performance management processes.
  • Oversee employee relations.
  • Manage compensation and benefits.
  • Direct business safety requirements, including reporting, injury management, and facility safety compliance.
  • Direct and manage employee retention tools such as AwardCo and service awards.
  • Manage immigration processes and direction.
  • Lead employee engagement activities across the business, such as holiday parties, charitable activities, and programs for improved retention.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team to ensure HR systems are current and effective for the global business.
  • Stay current with the latest human resources trends and compliance laws.
  • Serve as a liaison on human resources issues with corporate staff, including the President.
  • Make suggestions and recommendations regarding performance and change of status for employees, including transfer, advancement, termination, and hiring.
  • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives and increase operational efficiency.
  • Drive collaboration across the organization to identify needs and develop scalable solutions.
  • Directly and indirectly manage staff to achieve company and department goals and enhance professional development.
  • Manage with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Educate and ensure employees adhere to regulations applicable to the business, Prohibited Business Practices Policy, and Global Code of Conduct & Ethics.
  • Guide management teams regarding employee performance, hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination, including collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Develop and maintain productive work teams, including hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance management, transfer, advancement, and termination.
  • Be flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willing to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
  • Initiate, establish, and maintain highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.
