We are seeking an exceptional technology executive to lead Information Technology across North America during an exciting period of business growth, digital transformation, and global collaboration. As Vice President, Information Technology – North America, you will be the senior technology leader responsible for shaping the region's technology strategy while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership across North America and our global headquarters in Germany. Your mandate is broad: align technology investments to business strategy, modernize enterprise capabilities, strengthen cybersecurity, enable operational excellence, and build an IT organization that accelerates innovation across the business. This role demands both strategic vision and operational excellence. You'll lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, influence global technology decisions, and partner with senior leaders across commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, regulatory, and corporate functions to ensure technology becomes an even greater competitive advantage. Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership across enterprise technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and digital transformation.
  • Significant executive experience leading large, multi-disciplinary IT organizations and developing high-performing leadership teams.
  • A proven record of delivering complex enterprise transformation programs with meaningful business impact.
  • Experience leading technology organizations within large, global, matrixed environments.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, IT governance, and modern operating models.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including ownership of significant technology portfolios and budgets.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence executives across functions, cultures, and geographies.
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the strategic direction for Information Technology across North America while ensuring strong alignment with KARL STORZ's global technology vision.
  • Develop and execute the North American IT strategy and multi-year technology roadmap.
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives that modernize platforms, improve business capabilities, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can accelerate growth, improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency, and support long-term business strategy.
  • Drive standardization and harmonization of enterprise systems and processes in partnership with global IT leadership.
  • Build resilient, secure, and scalable technology environments across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and end-user services.
  • Champion cybersecurity, Zero Trust principles, and secure-by-design practices across the technology ecosystem.
  • Oversee strategic technology investments, portfolio governance, vendor partnerships, and enterprise IT operations.
  • Develop an engaged, high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the critical technology liaison between North America and global headquarters, ensuring transparency, alignment, and successful execution across regions.
