About The Position

The purpose of the role is to design, develop, implement, and maintain various statistical, mathematical, and machine learning models to support decision-making through analysis and solving complex problems. This includes acquiring and collecting data from various sources, performing data cleaning and pre-processing, designing and implementing data management strategies, and developing statistical and machine learning models for applications such as credit risk assessment, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimization. The role also involves monitoring model performance, leading training and knowledge-sharing sessions, and evaluating emerging technologies. As a Vice President, the individual is expected to contribute to strategy, drive requirements, make recommendations for change, plan resources, budgets, and policies, and deliver continuous improvements. If managing a team, responsibilities include defining jobs, planning for departmental needs, counseling employees, and contributing to pay decisions. For individual contributors, the role requires being a subject matter expert, guiding technical direction, leading collaborative assignments, and training less experienced specialists. The role involves advising key stakeholders, managing and mitigating risks, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions, collaborating with other areas, creating solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, and building trusting relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

Low-latency Java development experience.
Experience in developing algorithmic trading solutions.
Experience in providing production support for trading algorithms in real-time.
Ability to work with Product, Sales, and Coverage teams to understand client requests and requirements.
Experience in conducting data analysis to develop new models.
Experience collaborating with quant researchers to develop and maintain trading execution models.
Subject matter expert within own discipline and will guide technical direction.
Lead collaborative, multi-year assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
Identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments.
Train, guide and coach less experienced specialists.
Provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions.
Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.

Design and implementation of data management strategies for model maintenance and future development.
Designing, development, and implementation of statistical and machine learning models for various applications, including credit risk assessment, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and marketing optimisation.
Monitoring model performance in real-time and identify any potential issues or biases.
Leading training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions to uplift ML capability across the organisation.
Evaluating and piloting emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of AI innovation.
Develop algorithmic trading solutions in the Equities Electronic space using low-latency Java.
Develop new features to the algorithmic trading engine to enhance the client’s trading experience.
Provide production support of the algos in real-time by identifying the root cause of the issue.
Work with the Product, Sales, and Coverage teams to examine new client requests and requirements and develop implementation plans satisfying requirements within the confines/constraints of the algorithm stack.
Conduct data analysis to come up with new models to improve the trading algorithm.
Collaborate with quant researchers to develop and maintain trading execution models.
