The anticipated salary range for this role is between $102,000.00 and $123,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management of technology, or a related field plus 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of analysts to ensure accurate management accounting within the Cognos TM1 system.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance aligned with both organizational objectives and individual career development.
  • Review and enhance processes by identifying inefficiencies and partnering with systems teams to implement improvements.
  • Design, analyze, and deliver reporting to stakeholders using tools such as Power BI, TM1, Power Query, and Excel.
  • Communicate insights clearly through written and verbal channels, including email, presentations, and executive-ready materials.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader FP&A team to resolve issues and incorporate required changes into financial processes and results.
  • Partner with Head Office and Front Office teams to interpret policy and strategic updates and translate them into managerial accounting outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review results, drive alignment, and develop actionable solutions.
