The Vice President, Enterprise Technology & Innovation

Omniscius Consulting•Ashburn, VA

About The Position

The Vice President, Enterprise Technology & Innovation (VP, ET&I) reports to the President and directly leads Enterprise IT & Security. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP connects Growth, Service Delivery, Technology, Quality and Compliance, Corporate Services, and Executive Leadership, with direct CEO access for assigned priorities and material risks. The role leads three connected missions: internal enterprise transformation; innovation across current customer programs; and technical solutioning for recompetes and new business from early Business Development through Capture, Proposal, and delivery handoff. Reliable, secure corporate technology is the foundation for these missions. The VP sets priorities, investments, risk treatment, and expected results while delegating daily IT and security execution to the existing leader. The VP leads corporate IT and cybersecurity performance, enterprise architecture and integration, technical standards, technology investment, security controls, incident preparedness, resilience, and applicable CUI, NIST, and CMMC implementation and evidence. The role also leads a prioritized transformation portfolio spanning business processes, AI and intelligent automation, data and decision intelligence, service delivery innovation, and reusable enterprise knowledge and intellectual property. Initiatives are expected to have defined sponsors, owners, baselines, acceptance criteria, funding, adoption measures, and measurable operational, financial, mission, or customer value. For active customer programs, the VP partners with the VP, Service Delivery and program leadership to identify and implement improvements within contract scope, funding, authorized systems, and required approvals. For growth pursuits, the VP partners with the VP, Strategic Growth, Capture leaders, technical SMEs, Delivery, and executives to develop differentiated, executable technical solutions, architectures, demonstrations, proposal content, and delivery handoffs. The role also develops reusable accelerators and evidence of customer value, subject to required permissions, data/IP rights, confidentiality, and licensing. The VP is accountable for responsible, secure, and governed adoption of AI and emerging technology, including data protection, human oversight, validation, risk review, production readiness, monitoring, support ownership, and required customer authorization. The role may also lead CEO- or President-sponsored enterprise initiatives and assigned technology/data integration assessments for partnerships or acquisitions. It operates within approved budgets and delegated authority, escalates material risks and unresolved conflicts to the President, and reports reliability, risk, cost, adoption, realized value, dependencies, and decisions through monthly and quarterly reviews. The successful candidate is a builder, operator, problem solver, and strategist who can take initiatives from problem definition through design, prototype, pilot, implementation, measurement, and reuse. The role requires technical depth to evaluate solutions and business judgment to determine where technology should—and should not—be applied. The VP participates practically in solution and implementation decisions while delegating daily operations and sourcing specialist work.
