About The Position

Lazard is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its active San Francisco Technology Investment Banking practice. The group serves clients across major technology subsectors and provides financial advice on matters including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, special committee assignments, takeover defenses, corporate restructurings, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, and capital structure. Vice Presidents are integral members of client teams and lead financial analysis, client materials, deal processes, and the supervision and development of junior bankers.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5–6 years of investment banking experience and a demonstrated passion for technology.
• Demonstrated client and deal experience on technology M&A transactions, on both the buy and sell sides.
• A team-player attitude and leadership qualities, with strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture.
• Strong client relationship and presentation skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.
• Comfort operating in an unstructured environment that values initiative, creativity, and maturity.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

• An MBA and/or JD would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial analyses and review models.
• Lead the preparation and creation of client presentations and marketing materials.
• Interact with senior client executives.
• Manage deal processes.
• Provide guidance to and supervise Associates and Analysts.
• Support, manage, and empower junior bankers.
