About The Position

Fanshawe College is seeking a strategic and service-oriented Vice-President, Corporate Services & Infrastructure (VPCSI) to join its Executive Leadership Team. Reporting to the President and working closely with fellow Vice-Presidents and the Chief of Staff, the VPCSI leads an integrated portfolio spanning Finance, Information Technology, Facilities & Campus Planning, and Security. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for strengthening the College’s financial health, modernizing its digital ecosystem, and ensuring safe, accessible, and high-performing campuses across London and regional sites. The VPCSI also serves as Corporate Treasurer to the Board of Governors. This mandate is about stabilization and modernization. The VPCSI will assess current operations, close governance gaps, rebuild leadership capacity, and implement clear processes and accountabilities across Finance, IT, and Facilities. The role balances disciplined stewardship with pragmatic, timely decision-making to advance Fanshawe’s student-centred mission. Key early priorities include: Strengthening financial oversight and forecasting amid budget pressures, Advancing Workday adoption and rationalizing legacy systems, Elevating data governance and cybersecurity foundations, Resetting capital planning, space utilization, and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the President and Executive Leadership Team on institutional strategy
  • Strengthen governance frameworks, decision-making processes, and accountability
  • Support Board reporting on financial and operational performance
  • Serve as Senior Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal planning
  • Ensure strong internal controls, procurement, and compliance
  • Accountable for enterprise IT strategy and roadmap
  • Drive system integration (Workday-focused) and data quality improvements
  • Strengthen cybersecurity and digital resilience
  • Oversee facilities operations, capital planning, and campus renewal
  • Accountable for Environmental Health & Safety and emergency management
  • Ensure safe, accessible, and efficient campus environments
  • Build and empower a high-performing, ~150-person team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence
  • Recruit and develop leadership talent across the portfolio
  • Establish enterprise risk management practices
  • Manage relationships with government, auditors, and sector partners
  • Ensure transparent communication during major initiatives
