About The Position

The Vice President of Construction is responsible for the overall leadership, execution, and financial performance of Primoris Pipeline Inc.’s construction operations. This executive provides strategic direction for transmission, distribution, integrity management, facility, and related energy infrastructure projects while ensuring exceptional safety performance, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and sustainable business growth. The role partners closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, strengthen customer relationships, and support long-term market expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in pipeline or utility construction, including senior leadership.
  • Proven success managing large-scale multi-state construction operations.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods, integrity management, distribution, facilities, and applicable regulations.
  • Demonstrated P&L management and financial leadership.
  • Ability to travel to offices and project sites as required.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience in EPC or energy infrastructure environments.
  • Experience leading large self-perform craft organizations.
  • Familiarity with Primoris systems and processes or similar contractor frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for planning, execution, and delivery of pipeline and related energy infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure operations meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and cost control.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute operational and business strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Partner with estimating and business development teams on pursuits, bids, and client presentations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and geographic expansion initiatives.
  • Drive profitability through budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and P&L oversight.
  • Evaluate capital expenditures and resource allocation.
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, PHMSA, environmental regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, superintendents, and operational leaders.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Oversee contract execution and proactively manage commercial and operational risks.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to promote repeat business.
