About The Position

The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (“GRC”) is an independent risk management function, led by the Chief Risk Officer, with the objective of ensuring that American Express operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations. GRC creates and maintain the overall risk management framework, performs independent risk management assessment, and monitor risks. This position will play a critical leadership position as a line of business compliance officer within the Global Compliance & Ethics organization providing compliance oversight over the U.S. operations of the Credit and Fraud Risk organization (CFR), as well as the Customer Protection and Risk Operations (CPRO) within the Global Services Group at American Express. As the Vice President of Compliance, U.S. CFR and CPRO, the successful candidate will lead a team responsible for providing independent compliance oversight and second-line effective challenge to ensure the business is building, enhancing, and maintaining an effective framework for compliance with applicable internal policies, laws, regulations.
