About The Position

The Vice President, Board & Strategy Programs leads strategic planning and oversight of board-related processes and programs within Fidelity Philanthropic Services (FPS), ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and Fidelity’s overall strategy. The role balances FPS and Fidelity priorities with the needs of independent trustees and directors, and supports them in fulfilling their fiduciary duties. The boards oversee matters including their charities’ tax-exempt status, risk management, internal controls, financial reporting, and contractual relationships. The position oversees and participates in four to six boards, including those for Fidelity Charitable, Signature DAF, the Pooled Income Fund, and other related entities. It leads end-to-end planning and management of board meetings, budgets, board materials, meeting execution, board-member onboarding and candidate pipelines, and board scorecards. The role serves as the primary relationship manager for trustees and directors, internal partners, and senior executives, and leads strategic programs intended to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the Board Program and FPS. The successful candidate brings knowledge of FPS business lines and nonprofit board fiduciary duties, and provides oversight that aligns board strategy with FPS strategy throughout the year. Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles; current onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve.
