About The Position

The LRL Research Capital and Facilities Leader will play a critical role in shaping and executing the operational strategy for our research and development initiatives. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective planning and execution of research capital projects, research capital asset management, long range facility planning. Requirements

  • Advanced degree (M.S., MBA or equivalent) in science with relevant business or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in (capital) project management, research operations, leadership and strategic planning.
  • Project management experience, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong ability to work in matrix organization and drive for results; ability to influence and inspire without across functional areas without reporting line authority

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for research operations, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of capital projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with capital plans and facilities management, implementing best practices and process improvements in collaboration with key stakeholders, including scientists, project managers, and external partners.
  • Engage in acquisition activities driving efficient integration
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations into the company's research operations strategy.
  • Work closely with research operations leaders.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leadership on research operations-related matters.
  • Maintain compliance, including direct reports, with corporate and regulated policies, SOPs, Red Book, etc.
  • Manage annual capital business plans and engage in long-range capital planning.
  • Manage a centralized LRL capital budget, by developing cost effective capital plans, monitoring, and controlling costs, as well as leveraging change management, when necessary.
  • Ensure the capital investment strategy is aligned with LRL financial and portfolio-based goals, as well as with key productivity and cost savings initiatives.
