This role is pivotal in developing and implementing Wilson & Company’s national strategy for alternative delivery projects, strengthening partnerships with contractors, strategic engineering teams, and end clients. The Program Lead will oversee all activities related to alternative delivery opportunities, aligning with the Project Lifecycle Process. This position will focus on increasing market share in established regions and driving expansion into emerging alternative delivery markets by monitoring industry trends, legislation, and regulatory changes. The role also involves advancing alternative delivery capabilities, as these projects require distinct skills and approaches compared to traditional design-bid-build projects. The Program Lead will be responsible for identifying and defining necessary competencies, developing and implementing tailored project management tools and processes, and building a team of technical advisors to support project managers. Collaboration across sectors and practices is key to delivering innovative, client-focused solutions. The National Alternative Delivery Program Lead will hold primary responsibility for the financial performance of the entire portfolio of alternative delivery projects, ensuring the program's long-term success and sustainability. This includes strategic talent management, contract and agreement leadership, risk management, financial forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve firm-wide goals. The role also coordinates and leads alternative delivery pursuits to meet booking KPIs and develops the program structure to meet growth and success goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to alternative delivery opportunities in alignment with the Project Lifecycle Process.
  • Develop and implement Wilson & Company’s national strategy to strengthen partnerships with contractors, strategic engineering teams, and end clients engaged in alternative delivery projects.
  • Increase market share in established regions while driving expansion into emerging alternative delivery markets.
  • Monitor industry trends, legislation, and regulatory changes to position Wilson & Company for future opportunities and sustained growth.
  • Identify and define the competencies required for professionals managing alternative delivery projects.
  • Develop and implement project management tools and processes tailored to alternative delivery methods.
  • Build and lead a team of technical advisors to support project managers during procurement and final design phases.
  • Collaborate across sectors and practices to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
  • Oversee key operational and business functions to ensure the financial performance of Wilson & Company’s entire portfolio of alternative delivery projects.
  • Address gaps in alternative delivery project management and business development capabilities through targeted hiring, retention, and succession planning.
  • Lead teaming agreement and contract negotiations to secure favorable terms.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could adversely impact project delivery and company financial security and performance.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to accurately forecast pursuit efforts and communicate potential budgetary impacts.
  • Maintain and regularly report an accurate pipeline of alternative delivery opportunities.
  • Work closely with other members of leadership to achieve firm-wide goals and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and lead, when appropriate, alternative delivery pursuits to support a winning program meeting the alternative delivery bookings KPI.
  • Develop the program structure needed to meet the growth and success goals for the company and the program.
