About The Position

Element is seeking a Vibration Technician to join its expanding team at the Minneapolis (Bloomington) aerospace and defense testing laboratory. The laboratory supports commercial and military customers and offers EMI, environmental, mechanical, and dynamics testing. The technician performs vibration testing to customer requirements and supports the wider dynamics department, including project planning, reporting, equipment upkeep, and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards within an accredited 17025 quality management system. Element’s stated purpose is “Making tomorrow safer than today.”

Requirements

• A technical degree (two-year or four-year) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to transfer technical knowledge and requirements to meet customer specifications successfully.
• Physical fitness and ability to withstand challenging working conditions, including climbing stacks and handling heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong quality focus and determination to complete work under challenging conditions.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to embrace new skills and apply them in a practical context.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform vibration tests according to customer specifications and requirements.
• Assist with and learn all aspects of work in the dynamics department.
• Assist with planning and execution of projects.
• Assist with report preparation.
• Assist with maintenance and calibration of dynamics department equipment.
• Assist with health and safety and quality standards within an accredited 17025 quality management system.
