About The Position

AVECCC Emergency Veterinary Head of Training and Development is a full-time opportunity in Gilbert, AZ. This role requires flexibility in schedule and offers a unique training program with many opportunities to learn and grow. The position involves delivering exceptional training and development to support staff, spearheading new staff training, and playing a large role in development and implementation. The role also requires supporting the team through effective communication, assisting where needed, and fostering a positive work environment. Contributing to a collaborative hospital culture where teamwork, respect, and continuous learning are valued is essential. Maintaining high standards of patient care by following hospital protocols, safety procedures, and best practices is also a key responsibility. The role provides opportunities for professional growth through collaboration, training, and development.

Requirements

  • Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Arizona
  • Experience in training of veterinary staff for at least 1 year
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with clients and their pets
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology
  • Education, training, or experience in the veterinary field
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to providing exceptional training to team members
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced VTS accreditation is preferred, but not required.
