About The Position

Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Natick, MA is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join their collaborative team. Requirements

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital required.
Passion for providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary environment.
Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including days, overnights, and weekends.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and support the entire hospital team.
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient examinations, treatments, and nursing care.
Support diagnostic procedures, laboratory testing, imaging, and patient monitoring.
Safely restrain patients for examinations and medical procedures.
Prepare patients and treatment areas for procedures and diagnostics.
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital equipment.
Monitor patient comfort and communicate changes to the medical team.
Accurately document treatments and patient information within the hospital information system.
Deliver compassionate client service and educate pet owners as directed by the veterinary team.
Collaborate with doctors, technicians, client care coordinators, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture while helping maintain an efficient workflow.
