Veterinary Technology (RVT) In-Person Instructor - Adjunct
About The Position
Platt College Los Angeles is seeking a Veterinary Technology (VT) Instructor to provide quality instruction to students, meeting program and course objectives. The instructor will maintain an organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and will impart the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to students. Platt College offers certificate and degree programs and is dedicated to the principle that education is the foundation for personal and professional growth. The college continuously updates its offerings to best serve the needs of students and employers in the Southern California business environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Current California RVT license – must be in good standing
- Associate's degree from an AVMA accredited school in Veterinary Technology required
- Work experience should include several years of practice and experience in management and/or training
- Understanding of education environments, including the needs of adult learners
- Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment
- Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled
- Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching
- Good Organization and Communication Skills
