About The Position

College Park Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their AAHA-accredited, three-doctor small animal hospital in College Park, Maryland. The hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care while creating an environment where team members feel supported, respected, and empowered to grow. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule with the hospital closing at 6:00 p.m., no evening shifts beyond closing, and a focus on practicing outstanding medicine alongside collaborative teammates and supportive doctors.

Requirements

• Current Maryland Registered Veterinary Technician license or eligibility for licensure

Responsibilities

• Partner with veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and patient care
• Collect laboratory samples and perform accurate in-house diagnostic testing
• Administer medications and monitor hospitalized patients
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia within the RVT scope of practice
• Educate clients about preventative care, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate medical records that support excellent continuity of care
• Create calm, compassionate, low-stress experiences for patients and clients
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver exceptional medical care every day
