About The Position
Asheville Veterinary Associates South is seeking experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join their team. They are a close-knit, collaborative small animal general practice that prioritizes open communication, mutual support, and delivering high-quality care. The leadership team is compassionate, approachable, and invested in professional growth, with anticipated future Lead Veterinary Technician opportunities. The role involves playing an essential part in providing outstanding patient care alongside experienced veterinarians and a supportive team.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (preferred, but we're open to discussing candidates working toward credentialing)
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to support your teammates
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Experience monitoring anesthesia independently
- Comfortable assisting with surgery and dentistry
- Interest in mentoring teammates and growing into future leadership opportunities
- Someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Monitoring anesthesia during surgical and dental procedures
- Assisting with soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures several days each week
- Performing laboratory diagnostics and sample collection
- Administering medications and treatments
- Providing exceptional nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Educating clients on preventive care, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Supporting a positive, collaborative hospital culture
