About The Position

This role is for a Veterinary Technician in Internal Medicine, working the 1st shift from 8am-6:30PM, four days per week. The position offers full-time benefits and is located in Monroeville, PA. The hospital is a 24-hour Emergency & Specialty hospital, providing exposure to advanced procedures and state-of-the-art technology in a purpose-built 19,000 sq. ft. facility. Requirements

  • Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
  • Experience in veterinary medicine, ideally including specialty or advanced care settings.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology, including conditions such as infectious, immune-mediated, and inflammatory diseases.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients in a way that reflects the company’s commitment to advanced medical care and compassionate support for pets and their families.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to foster a productive, positive, and respectful workplace.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required.
  • All technical staff must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (10 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with I-131 therapy, endoscopy, anesthesia monitoring, and appointment coordination is preferred but not required.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments.
  • Perform patient restraint, triage, imaging, and laboratory skills.
  • Conduct venipuncture.
  • Monitor anesthesia.
  • Assist with I-131 therapy and endoscopy.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a productive, positive, and respectful workplace.
  • Maintain composure, organization, and effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (10 hours).
  • Lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
