About The Position

This role is for a Veterinary Technician in Internal Medicine, working the 1st shift from 8am-6:30PM, four days per week. The position offers full-time benefits and is located in Monroeville, PA. The hospital is a 24-hour Emergency & Specialty hospital, providing exposure to advanced procedures and state-of-the-art technology in a purpose-built 19,000 sq. ft. facility. Requirements

Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
Experience in veterinary medicine, ideally including specialty or advanced care settings.
Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology, including conditions such as infectious, immune-mediated, and inflammatory diseases.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Ability to provide excellent customer service, interacting with clients in a way that reflects the company’s commitment to advanced medical care and compassionate support for pets and their families.
Ability to collaborate with team members to foster a productive, positive, and respectful workplace.
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required.
All technical staff must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (10 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Nice To Haves

Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, but not required.
Experience with I-131 therapy, endoscopy, anesthesia monitoring, and appointment coordination is preferred but not required.
Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate appointments.
Perform patient restraint, triage, imaging, and laboratory skills.
Conduct venipuncture.
Monitor anesthesia.
Assist with I-131 therapy and endoscopy.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service.
Collaborate with team members to foster a productive, positive, and respectful workplace.
Maintain composure, organization, and effectiveness in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (10 hours).
Lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
