Requirements

Previous veterinary technician experience required
Passion for animal health and client education
Calm, confident demeanor during emergencies
Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
Excellent communication and client-service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with veterinary software and basic computer skills
Commitment to maintaining accurate medical records and high standards of patient care
Positive attitude, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
Desire to continue learning and contributing to a positive hospital culture

Nice To Haves

Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, dental procedures, and medical treatments
Safely restrain and handle patients using compassionate, low-stress techniques
Monitor anesthesia, patient vital signs, surgical recovery, and hospitalized patients
Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
Collect laboratory samples, perform in-house diagnostics, and assist with diagnostic imaging
Assist with emergency triage, stabilization, CPR, and critical patient care
Prepare patients, surgical suites, and equipment while maintaining strict sterilization protocols
Fill prescriptions under veterinarian supervision
Educate clients on preventive care, medications, nutrition, and home-care instructions
Provide compassionate discharge instructions and client education
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory and daily hospital operations
Keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgical suites clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
